"Playful" By David Dancey-Wood

...............................................................................................................

"There are many wildlife artists in the world today but few with the passion and insight of David Dancey-Wood. From an early age David's talent was extraordinary as witnessed in his studies of the world around him. His natural talent combined with a love for travel and the natural world has led him to some of the most exotic places on earth in a quest to study and draw endangered species. From his travels David has gained a unique appreciation of not only wildlife but of the ecosystems, habitats, and native peoples that share their lives with the animals he portrays."

"David is sympathetic to the individuals and when working with and drawing primates, this is essential.

Each chimpanzee, orangutan, or monkey has their own personality and appearance. David Dancey-Wood brings alive their characters, personality, and individuality." Jim and Alison Cronin.

Jim and Alison Cronin, Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre, Dorset, United Kingdom.

The late Jim Cronin was the charismatic founder, along with his wife Alison Cronin, of the world famous, ape rescue centre, Monkey World. Jim and Alison have been great friends of David for many years, and David has drawn many of the apes at Monkey World, including Charlie (probably the most famous of the apes at Monkey World, and a star in the Television series about the ape centre).
