Please Help Burma
Like so many of you I turned on the news at the weekend and was horrified to observe and listen to the awful news of what has happened in Burma. After the events of recent months Burma has been in the news quite often and unfortunately always for humanitarian reasons. It is almost unbelievable that these poor people on top of it all have been subjected to such a gargantuan natural disaster. I have never actually been into Burma more often than not because of the political reasons and humanitarian groups worldwide have strongly discouraged all forms of tourism here. Having spent a lot of time in Thailand I have had many encounters with Burmese people and I must say they are wonderful people with a very rich culture.
